Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens Is Ready for the Season with “Deck the Hall”

Fri 11/25-12/30 @ 3-9PM

Each year the Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens estate presents Deck the Hall, decorating its manor house, inspired by the way wealthy families such as the home’s original owners, the Seiberlings, lived in the pre-depression years of the early 20thcentury. It’s a treat for those who like their Christmases traditional.

This year’s theme is Gracious Gatherings, with the Music Room adorned in green, red and gold and holiday dresses from the family musician Gertrude Seiberling and other family members; the West Porch providing a home for animals in tuxes, gnomes and a woodland Santa; and 30 decorated tree throughout the house.

Outside the grounds will be lit with more than a million lights, with a display choreographed to holiday carols. In addition, you can shop for gifts in Molly’s Shop and enjoy cookies and pretzels, beer, wine and cocoa. They suggest dressing warmly because the outdoor walk is about an hour. Go here for tickets.
