The third Cleveland Photo Fest opened at the Bostwick Design Initiative gallery for the start of its six-week run (through the end of December), with a packed house showing up to view four galleries’ packed with photos.
That included large panels featuring the submissions for its “One Million Photos” theme. Tiny plastic magnifying glasses were provided so that visitors could check out the tiny images.
In addition, there were photos submitted bu grade school, high school and college students, and a variety of photos taken by Cleveland Photo Fest staff, organizers and their photographer friends, including some very well-known local shooters. Folk-pop quartet the Prom Queens provide music and there was lots of food!
Special programming takes place (mostly) on Friday evenings, with Anastasia Pantsios talking about her career in music photography and showing some of her favorite images on November 25, Nihil Omnia playing image-enhanced “Noiseadelic” music on December 2, travel writer/photographer team Irene & Alex Shaland sharing an interactive photo experience on December 16 and Jackie Bertolette, editor of fashion magazine Haute Ohio, presenting a photographic fashion show on THURSDAY December 29.
