Northeast Ohio photographer Ryan Harris says “As a black photographer I feel it’s my duty to highlight the black experience and the humanization of our culture in all aspects. As a photographer I enjoy the chance and making time stand still. Throughout my journey as a photographer thus far I’ve found my pocket in telling beautiful stories in the form of a photo.”
His new exhibit Hairitage: Don’t Touch My Hair, opening at Future ink Graphics at the Pivot Center this week, highlights one aspect of Black culture: the diverse textures and shapes of its hair.
The opening reception is free, although $25 VIP tickets will get you entrance 30 minutes before opening, free wine & other drinks and appetizers. The show will be on view through Saturday November 26.
