Soon we’ll be deluged with holiday markets packed with unusual, distinctive and handmade gift items. But first out of the gate is the two-day Christkindl Market in Canton, presented by Canton Fine Arts Associates, an arm of the Canton Art Museum.
The juried show, now in its 49th year, offers handmade craft and fine-arts items, with more than 70 artisans in the Canton Art Museum and the Great Court of the Cultural Center for the Arts. You’ll find unique wearables, photography, ceramics, glass art and lots of holiday-themed items. And the Christkindl Sweet Shoppe will have homemade candy to get you started on your season of indulgent eating. (or you can save them for later!)
There’ll also be performances throughout the day by Vox Audio of Sing Stark! and excerpts from The Nutcrackerperformed by the Canton Ballet, to help create a holiday atmosphere. Admission is $8; 12 and under are free.
