Sat 11/5 @ 5:30PM-midnight
SPACES is celebrating is 44 years of presenting diverse contemporary art — and its comeback from the pandemic —with a weekend-long “monster” party.
Its big annual benefit will take place Saturday night with a costume party, dinner, art auction and dancing until midnight. Then on Sunday, the much-loved Monster Drawing Rally, featuring dozens of local artists at work, will fill the gallery for a lower-cost family-oriented vent.
Saturday’s event starts with a 5:30pm VIP cocktail hour and dinner, catered by Spice Acres for the high rollers. The silent auction starts at 5:30 and continues until 10:30pm with both local and national artists contributing work. From 8pm-midnight DJ dance music will be provided by Hamainda Bbela in The Lab, and there’ll be hors d’oeuvres provided by Unique’s Passion.
There’ll also be a raffle taking place over both days, featuring a long list of donations from local businesses such as Superelectric Pinball Parlor, Cleveland International Film Festival, Dunham Tavern Museum, Grog Shop, Harness Cycle, Oceanne, Cool World, Mac’s Backs, Larder, Nosotros Rock Climbing Gym and many more.
