Dogs Enjoy Moment of Stardom at Lakewood’s Spooky Pooch Parade

Sat 10/15 @ 12:30-3:30PM

Love dogs? You’ll want to be at LakewoodAlive’s 15th annual Spooky Pooch Parade, a fun event for all ages — and their canines.

Register your dog for the parade (registration is open now!) and then start planning his/her costume while your cat sneers from the couch prior to taking yet another nap.

The event takes place starting at 12:30pm in Madison Park, with dog-related vendors, entertainment and games for kids. The parade itself steps off at 2pm when dogs will strut their stuff through nearby streets and past the judges for consideration for various awards including Best Pooch & Child, Best Pooch & Adult, Best Pooch & Group, Spookiest Pooch and Best in Show (which comes with a year’s worth of dog food). All contestants must be registered.

Pre-registration is $10 per dog; day-of is $15 per dog. If you register in advance, there’s a multiple dog discount. Multiple dog discounts are available with pre-registration only.  The festival is free to attend and the parade is free to watch and cheer for your favorites.
