The lavishly adorned Akron Civic Theatre with its many nooks and crannies is the perfect place for a Halloween ball — which is why the theater hosts its annual masquerade at this time of year.
They describe The Masque as “the most macabre, artfully elegant, daring, dramatic and decadent masquerade party at the historic and haunted Akron Civic Theatre.” Guests are commanded to come dressed as elegantly and extravagantly as the theater’s Moorish architecture to enjoy a full bar, signature cocktails, light hors d’oeuvres and evening-long entertainment.
Start in the Grand Lobby as guests start arriving in their finery. From 8-10pm there’ll be lie music by Ghouls Just Want to Have Fun (groan!) At 9pm the auditorium’s stage opens for dancing, and all night, throughout the building, there’ll be unexpected things going on.
