The Heights Music Hop returns this year with one evening in the Cedar-Lee business district, as opposed to the return to two nights they were promising. However there is a new element: there’ll be a couple of musical performances at the Noble Gardener’s Market Saturday morning, with Joe Rangel performing at 10am and Afi ‘n the Mix at 11.
Then music revs up on the Lee Road business strip south of Cedar, with bands and solo musicians performing at various businesses, including Boss Dog Brewing, CLE Urban Winery, The Social Room, Stone Oven, MOJO, Marchant Manor Cheese, Dewey’s Pizza, Voodoo Brewery, Mitchell’s Chocolates, Lotus Flower Yoga, The Tavern Company and the Cleveland Heights Public Library — all within walking distance of each other.
There are a lot of familiar names, such as Charlie Mosbrook, Morgan Mecaskey, Matt Harmon, Top Hat Black, Liz Bullock, AJ& the Woods, Moon Cactus, Apostle Jones, and a blast from the past from earlier Heights Music Hops, a reappearance of husband/wife duo By Light We Loom. Others may be new names to most people and offer pleasant surprises.
