Talespinner Children’s Theatre Hosts “Welcome Back” Event

Sun 8/28 @ 2-5PM

Talespinner Children’s Theatre, Cleveland’s only professional theater for kids, had been putting on its magical, entertaining and interactive productions, both in its theater and out in the community, for nearly a decade when the pandemic ground things to a halt. And while it continued to offer virtual creative opportunities, it just wasn’t the same as being in the room with its performers sharing one of their scripts based on the myths and folklore of global cultures, using movement, music, sound, scenery, lights, costumes, masks and puppets.

Now Talespinner is hosting a Welcome Back/season announcement. There’ll be snacks, desserts and drinks, as well as adult beverages for the adults, and opportunities to exercise the creative muscles the theater encourages: music, games, a hula-hoop contest, face painting, performances by magician James Sislo, and the chance to create your own theater props such as puppets and crowns.

It takes place at Reinberger Auditorium in Gordon Square where its theater is located. It’s free but registration is requested.
