Riverdog Barn Welcomes Michigan Bluegrass Band Full Chord

Fri 8/5 @ 7:30PM

The six musicians who call themselves Full Chord have been making bluegrass music for the last 15 years out of an area that’s not exactly a spawning ground for the sound: Michigan, along Lake Michigan’s eastern shore.

But guitarist Eric Langejans, bassist Todd Kirchner, mandolin player Brian Oberlin, fiddler, Grant Flick, banjo player Gabe Hirshfeld and vocalist Katie Kirchner have acquired a reputation for themselves on the touring circuit, and were the winners of the 2022 Telluride Bluegrass festival band competition. And they’ve released three albums, including 2021’s Hindsight, carrying their musical vision to even more listeners.

They should find a receptive audience when the play at Riverdog Barn in Lorain County, the perfect environment for their down-home music. Tickets are $22; gates open at 6pm, and as always, you welcome to bring a picnic basket and cooler and make a night of it.
