Pymantuning Lake Fest Has Almost Too Many Fun Activities

The two-day Pymatuning Lake Fest in Ashtabula County has almost TOO much going on — just looking at the list of activities could wear you out. It attracts 15,000-18,000 people for a host of live entertainment, more than 100 vendors including artisans and craftspeople, food of all types, games, fun contests for all ages, pontoon boat rides and that big favorite — fireworks — in Saturday night at 9pm.

Back for the first time since 2019, kids will want to try everything but they just won’t be able to. Activities include a children’s sandcastle building contest, a bounce house and other inflatables, a Hula Hoop contest, a four-foot glider raft, kids’ ceramics, sack races, a children’s pizza-eating contest, a water balloon toss, Chalk on the Walk, a duck pond and — you guessed it — face painting. There’s a Christian band and church service on Sunday if that’s your thing.

A donation is requested at the gate, and an all-day wristband for all kids’ activities is $10. Most other events are free. Dogs must be on leashes. To get a full schedule of activities go to www.facebook.com/PareaCOC or www.PymatuningAreaChamber.org.
