Sun 8/28
One World Day has been an annual event at the Cleveland Cultural Gardens sine just after World War II. Back then virtually all of the gardens represented European cultures, a situation that’s rapidly changing with new gardens from countries in Asia, South America and Africa. All of them were on display in the opening Parade of Flags, which followed a naturalization ceremony at the Peace Plaza that welcomed immigrants from Congo, Bhutan, India, Canada and more as U.S. citizens. The day continued will performance at the Peace Plaza as well as the various gardens, along with food, displays and cultural information.
