The Summer Market, which began years back on the lakefront as the Avon Summer Market, is back along the Black River in Lorain.
Each year it brings together more than 125 vendors in a beautiful outdoor setting for a day of shopping fine art, handcrafted items, clothing and jewelry, vintage collectibles, furniture and home décor. There’s even a farmers’ market with fresh produce and value-added items.
But it’s more than a day of shopping — it’s a day to hang out, enjoy food from local restaurants and food trucks, have a couple of cocktails, and loll on the grass to listen to some laidback music and enjoy the nice summer weather. It’s family-friendly, pet-friendly, and boat-friendly.
Sponsored by the nonprofit, Girls Give Back, it also raises money for local people in need.
