Fri 7/8
Cleveland’s visual arts magazine CAN Journal kicked off its second CAN Triennial with a party at the Morgan Conservatory, one of the 26 locations in six neighborhoods featuring by the local artists elected for the event. Hundreds of artists and art lovers turned out to eat, drink, listen to jazz, watch a performance art piece, see the art on view there and mingle with old friends.
The CAN Triennial was conceived in 2018 to supplement the FRONT International Triennial, then also in its first year, in order to give visitors who came to northeast Ohio to see the international artists the chance to see the work of talented locations as well. Both triennials were postponed a year due to the pandemic. Both run all summer with the CAN Triennial running through late August and FRONt of view through October 2.
