Live at the BOP STOP Radio Program Earns Recognition

The National Independent Venue Association (NIVA), which was formed in the early months of the pandemic to advocate for independent music venues in danger of closing, hosted its firs-ever national conference in Cleveland July 11-12, bringing to town venue owners, managers, bookers, agents and musician from across the country.

The BOP STOP shares that its radio show, “Live At The BOP STOP” was named NIVA’s “Best Innovation By A Club, Promoter, or Festival.” The show, which debuted at the beginning of 2021, was initially aired on three terrestrial radio stations, and has grown to 23 markets from Boston to L.A. to the U.S. Virgin Islands to Burundi.  They say it’s now the second largest syndicated live jazz radio program in the United States. And with northeast Ohio teeming with talented jazz players, they’re unlikely to run out of music to program.
