It’s summer in NEO! That means summer festivals. Why not give yourself one more reason to get out and enjoy the street culture while changing the world.

This week, CoolCleveland points you to a bunch of cool outdoor festivals and events where you can chill out, enjoy the vibe, meet new people and engage voters on the key issues we face in the upcoming November election. Help folks get registered, educate ourselves on the issues, and make new friends.

 

Wed, July 20: Wade Oval Wednesday: Join us at Wade Oval Wednesday! At a time where so many rights that our communities have been fighting for are under attack; it is crucial for us to register voters and work to elect folks whose policy views reflect our values.

Wed, July 20: Wayne Organizing Meeting: Join us at Oak Hill Park Pavilion in Wooster, OH, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm and get to know everyone working hard to prevail this November. This is a great opportunity to give your input and learn the ins and outs of the campaign!

Thu, July 21: Sunset Market at the Van Aken District: See you at sunset at the North Union Farmers Market to register folks to vote & volunteer- and while you’re at it indulge in local delicacies. Meet us & regroup at the intersection of Tuttle Road and Mead Road.

Thu, July 21: Ashland County Organizing Meeting: YES WE CAN!! Join us at Freer Field, Meeting Visitor Center Pavilion, in Ashland, OH, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm and get to know everyone working hard to have a big win this November. This is a great opportunity to give your input and learn the ins and outs of the campaign! Let’s get together and get your input on organizing volunteers and identifying volunteer leaders to get out the vote.

Fri, July 22: Lorain Organizational Meeting: Join the Workers First Campaign as we talk about the races across Ohio, and how you can help with the upcoming election!

Fri, July 22: African American Arts Festival:  Join us as we register voters at the African American Arts Festival! Bring your friends and family and let’s have a good time together!

Sat, July 23: Akron African American Cultural Festival: Join us as we register voters at the African American Cultural Festival at Lock 3 Park! Materials and training will be provided.

Sat, July 23: Connecting Communities Festival at Miles Shopping Center: Join us to register voters and learn how to get involved in making sure that all of our voices are heard loud and clear at the ballot box this year. At a time where so many of our rights are under attack, we can fight back with our votes! Materials and training will be provided at event.

Sat, July 23: Springfield Fire Food Truck Festival in Akron: Come join us as we register voters at the 5th Annual Springfield Fire Local 2040 Food Truck Festival! There will be food and entertainment all day long with plenty of folks in attendance, so we will be registering voters to make sure that everyone can make their voices heard this November.

Sun, July 24: Rocky River Concert Series: Join us at the Rocky River Concert Series where we plan to register voters, inform attendees about the upcoming elections and recruit future volunteers! Meet us at lake side of the parking lot to get started and to debrief afterwards.

Tue, July 26: North Royalton Volunteer Kick Off: Come meet your local organizers in North Royalton for the 2022 election! We will be gauging the community’s interest in volunteer efforts the Coordinated Campaign and North Royalton Democratic Club have planned. There will also be food, prize raffles, and postcard writing available! We’ll be meeting at the North Royalton Memorial Park Lower Pavilion.

Tue, July 26: Voter Registration at Sandusky Public Library: Join the Workers First Campaign as we register voters, and inform them of the upcoming Primary at Sandusky’s Public Library!

Wed, July 27: Solon Pop-Up in the Park: Join us at this community favorite that features a variety of vendors to register voters for the November election Note: This is an outdoor event so dress accordingly!
