Current Cleveland at 78th Street Studios will be opening a new show of original art this weekend, showcasing the work commissioned by CityMusic Cleveland to illustrate their season themes of Lady Justice, Women in Music and Women’s suffrage.
“Reflecting CityMusic’s commitment to promoting equity in the arts, the show brings together heterogeneous artists whose diverse backgrounds offer a compelling range of perspectives on the program themes,” they say.
It also includes new work by the 14 artists, both established local talents and newcomers, including Sawsan Alhaddad , Asia Armour, Alaina Battle, Kristin Cliffel, Amira Cunningham, Bonnie Dolin, Gene Epstein, Connie Fu, Gwendolyn Garth, Tricia Kaman, Liz Maugans, Mariela Paz, Mary K Thomas and Gina Washington.
The opening reception on Friday June 9 @ 6-9pm will feature food and wine, classical fusion music by 1N2ATIV3, and the chance to meet the artists.
