Writers Can Test Their New Material at CPT’s Dark Room

Tue 6/14 @ 7:30PM

The monthly Dark Room open mics at Cleveland Public Theatre is a forum where writers can have their new material presented to an audience for feedback. Any kind of work is welcome: fiction, non-fiction, short plays, poetry.

All a writer has to do is bring up to ten pages of work to be read by whatever actors show up; casting is done on the spot. Just show up with your work starting at 7pm to sign up; slots are limited so get there on time. Readings start at 7:30pm. Be sure to bring enough copies for however many actors you need.

There are free snacks, beer & wine too, so the audience should be nice & relaxed. There’s a suggested donation of $5 at the door but that’s not required. You must be fully vaccinated or have a recent negative COVID test. The venue is The Church at CPT across the parking lot from the theater.
