June 15-August 17

There’s good news for those of you who have been asking. Wade Oval Wednesday are back on the schedule for a full season this year — its 16th or 18th depending on how you look at it. (2019 was its 15th season; it didn’t have a 2020 season and its 2021 included only four late-announced August concert dubbed “Welcome Back Wednesdays.”)

This year, they’ll run the full the-week schedule, starting Wednesday June 15 and running through August 17. City councilman Kevin Conwell & his R&B band the Footprints kick off the summer. And, as always, Carlos Jones & the P.L.U.S. Band will play the Wednesday before July 4 — June 29. The combo of the popular good-vibes reggae ensemble and fireworks always makes this the biggest draw of the season.

Here’s the full schedule:

  • June 15: Councilman Conwell & The Footprints
  • June 22: The Ladies Night
  • June 29: Carlos Jones & the P.L.U.S. Band
  • July 6 Faith and Whiskey

  • July 20 Tricky Dick & the Cover-Ups
  • July 27 Hubb’s Groove
