The Cuyahoga River Rally returns to Rivergate on the east bank of the Flats (adjacent to Merwin’s Wharf) with a day of activities and music in the park, and opportunities to tour the river in various ways.
The Festival Village and Beer Garden will be open from noon-5pm with hands-on activities sponsored by a variety of local organizations involved in sustainability, clean water and environmental programs such as Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, Great Lakes Science Center, Greater Cleveland Aquarium, Cleveland Amateur Boatbuilding and Boating Society, Cleveland Metroparks Watershed Volunteer Program, Cleveland Water and Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District.
Blues vocalist/guitarist Austin Walkin’ Cane plays at noon, with the kids from the School of Rock taking the stage at 1pm, followed by the Ben Gage Trio at 2:30 and Lost State of Franklin at 4. Come down at little early and join Riverside Yoga with OneTreeLove from 10:15-11am for a free class celebrating nature and the river. Bring your mat, towel, and drinking water.
Throughout the morning and afternoon, there will be kayak tours (bring your own or rent one) including historical tours and clean-up tours; walking tours of various section of the Flats to learn about birds, nature and river remediation efforts; bike tours; Cleveland History Days boat tours; and dragon boat rides.
