Wear a Costume & Join the Slavic Village Pierogi Dash

Sun 6/5 @ 9AM

There are an overwhelming number of walk/runs for countless causes taking place every weekend during the nice weather. May-October is the peak charity run season. There are so many we generally don’t cover them, but we couldn’t resist mentioning the Slavic Village Pierogi Dash, especially since we really wanted to run their graphic!

They’ve dubbed it “Cleveland’s tastiest race” and this year, its 16th, it returns in person after two years, stepping off from Third Federal Savings and Loan at 7007 Broadway, where the after party takes place as well — with live music, beer, smokies and of course, pierogis.

The race starts there and ends 3.1 miles away at the Trailside Development. There’s also a 5K option, as well as a (still) virtual option and an option to run a 5K course of your choosing between Saturday June 4 @ 6am and Sunday June 5 @ 9am.

There will be pries for the fastest finish, the runner participating from farthest away and the best pierogi-themed costume. Oh, you didn’t know you should dress up? Do it and post your photo on Facebook or Instagram with the tag #pierogidash2022 to be eligible to win.

Register here. Your registration fee includes a T-shirt, two pierogis, smokies and a beer at the after party, and a chipped time and race bib.
