Kaiser Gallery Offers Program on Importance & Care of Honey Bees

Thu 5/26 @ 7PM

You may have read stories in the last several years about the declining number of honeybees and the threat this poses to our ecosystem, especially to crops that depend on them as pollinators. It’s an important issue to the grower who provide our food.

If you want to learn more about what’s going on with bees and what can be done to help them, join beekeeper Justin of Youth Bee Works at Tremont’s Kaiser Gallery — a space which has featured exhibits focused on environmental and justice issues — for a program on bee conservation. Youth Bee Works is a nonprofit organization that educates people of all ages, with an emphasis on young people, about the role of honey bees, partnering with schools, businesses, organizations and individuals to set up and maintain beehives, educating people in their care.

The program is free and open to all, with a Q&A to follow the presentation.
