There are farmers markets and then there are farmers markets! The Countryside Farmers Market, launching its 23rd season this week, takes place in Cuyahoga Valley National Park’s lush, open Howe Meadow. It features 65 vendors, some of whom farm the homesteads in the park, including 44 returning vendors and 21 new ones. They offer produce, meats, cheeses, honey, coffees and teas, grains, dairy products, syrups, baked goods, jams & jellies, prepared foods, handmade crafts, soaps and other body products, fresh flowers, and much more.
The market also features live music and a picnic area if you hang out and enjoy the vibes. There’ll also be cooking demos for the adults and kids’ activities courtesy of the Akron-Summit County Public Library. But they’re maintaining the pandemic-created preorder and curbside pickup options for those who want to grab and go.
The Countryside Market at Howe Meadow market takes place every Saturdays through October 29.
