CMHN & Tilth Soil Offer Workshop on the ABCs of Composting

Sat 5/21 @ 10:30AM

The Cleveland Museum of Natural History is continuing its Climate Action Series, which shares small ways in which people can help make northeast Ohio more environmentally friendly.

For its next edition, whose topic is healthy soil for growing, it’s drawing on a real local expert: Nathan Rutz, Director of Soil at Tilth Soil, a division of Rust Belt Riders, who have been building their composting business in Cleveland for the last eight years.

He’ll talk about composting, of course, but he’ll also explain how it works, introduce the microbes that create compost, share information about the interaction of soil carbon and atmospheric CO2 and of course, talk about how to create your own compost pile at home.

It takes place at Tilth Soil at 2701 St. Clair. Fee is $12 for adults, $8 for youth. Capacity is limited; register here.
