Join the Annual Big Creek Watershed Clean Up

Sat 4/30 @ 9AM-noon

It’s that time of the year: the weather is nice, there’s no more chance of snow (fingers crossed) and all the garbage that’s collected over the winter is revealed. (Why do people do this?) Time to clean up!

So the Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District and Big Creek Connects are looking for volunteers for the 23rdAnnual Big Creek Watershed Clean Up. From 9am-noon, groups will go out to pick up trash along the creek, meeting at 8:45am at three locations: Brookfield Park on Brookfield Avenue between Bellaire and West 130th; the Brooklyn City Fire Department at 8400 Memphis; and the Snow Road Picnic Area along Big Creek Parkway.

Meet other environmentally minded people, have fun, and learn more about the work being done b these organizations to protect and upgrade our natural areas, especially our water sources.

Wear sturdy shoes and work clothes, preferably with long sleeves and pants. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. Bags and work gloves will be provided. Children under 18 must come accompanied by an adult.
