Haunted House Restaurant

In 2021, Melt Bar and Grilled closed in Cleveland Heights when its lease ran out, the only one of its locations not to boast a pandemic-friendly outdoor space. The high-profile space on the corner of Cedar and Taylor roads was quickly filled by the Haunted House Restaurant, which was an instant hit. In its early days you couldn’t get in!

It now serves breakfast & brunch, lunch and dinner, with a menu that features upscale comfort foods with a twist: everything has a horror-flick related name, such as Rosemary’s Platter (a waffles-and-egg concoction), Jaws (a fancy pizza), and Jerk Silence of the Lamb Chops. Decor amplifies the them: just as Melt featured an array of Cleveland-related memorabilia, the Haunted House is filled with images reflecting horror themes.

The menu is extensive. There’s a vegan menu (“Children of the Street Corn” and a kids’ menu as well. Brunch is served Friday-Sunday @ 9am-2pm, with “bottomless “ mimosas among the attractions. Make a reservation to be safe.
