Sat 4/16 @ 11AM
While it’s not quite the season for fresh produce, other than some greens, you can always find plenty of good stuff at the year-round Coit Road Farmers Market in East Cleveland, including storage vegetables, meats, dairy products, bakery, teas, honey, prepared foods such as pierogies, jams, jellies and preserves, herbs and spices, and crafts, clothing and other handmade items. Cooking knives and knife sharpening are available and there are classes in knife skills at 10am every week, with cooking demos at 11 this week learn to make a cassata cake). The market also boasts a large collection of cookbooks for you to browse.
There’s always something going on and always a reason to hang out besides just shopping. This week local artist Mary K Thomas will be leading a free arts event at 11am, where you can paint and learn more about a fruit or vegetable of your choice. She’ll have all the materials and information you need to get started, to learn how to eat healthier and have fun too.
Market hours are 8am-1pm every Saturday.
