Coventry PEACE Campus Hosts Benefit Chili Cook Off

Sun 3/20 @ 4-7PM

The former Coventry School, now the Coventry PEACE Campus, is home to a variety of arts and nonprofit community organizations. They’re currently battling the building’s owner, the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library over their previous agreement to purchase and development the building, an agreement the library seems leaning toward walking back on.

So they really need your support now. They’re hosting their 3rd annual Chili Cook Off PEACE Party on Sunday March 20.  Each ticket — $5 per person, $20 for a family of 4 or more — includes all-you-can-eat chili with fixings and sides, water, games, music and one vote per ticket for your favorite chili (Families get three votes, so they can agree to disagree!). Attendees can also purchase extra votes for $5 each or six for $20 if they’d like to help “rig” the election! All proceeds benefit the Coventry PEACE Campus.

Go here to buy them.

  1. Hello! I am the communications manager for the Clevleand Heights-University Heights Public Library. The statement above is innaccuate. “their previous agreement to purchase and development the building,” The Library has never had an agreement that would involved selling CPC Inc. the former school building. That has never been discussed, and has never been an option for the tenants. The Library decided not to movie froward with a long-term lease, not the purchase of the buidlng. More info, incluidng a full history of the PEACE Campus and it’s relationship with the Library, can be found here: https://heightslibrary.org/locations/coventry-peace-park-redesign/coventry-peace-campus-project.

    Thank you!
