Fri 3/18 @ 8PM
This weekend, the Cleveland Pops Orchestra turns Severance Hall into a giant sports bar/copy band club with its program “Music of the 70s and 80s.” It will back up Ace Molar, a local copy band that features TV news personality Todd Meany on lead vocals, piano and harmonica.
Ace Molar’s repertoire features dozens of hits, mostly from the 1960s-80s, in the classic rock/blues rock vein, with some R&B/disco thrown in to fill dance floors. If you ever set foot in the old Longhorn (Maple Heights) or Corral (North Olmsted), you will have heard “All Right Now” and “Rebel Rebel” done to death. Boomers can expect to hear a lot of tunes they danced and drank to back in the day. We don’t know if you’ll be allowed to dance in the aisles at Severance Hall.
