Beck Center Youth Theater Stages Disney’s High School Musical

The 2006 Disney film High School Musical was a huge hit, kickstarting the careers of Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron and spawning sequels and mountains of merch, as well as a TV series which launched the career of Olivia Rodrigo. It’s depiction of the angst of teenage theater kids has universal appeal, whether you’re going through it or you vaguely remember it.

Now the Beck Center for the Art’s youth theater tackles the stage version of Disney’s High School Musical under the direction of Blank Canvas Theatre founder Patrick Ciamacco. Come re-live all those adolescent dreams, coupled with all that end-of-the-world heartache as only teenagers can experience it. It runs through Sunday March 27 at Beck’s Senney theatre. The production features musical direction by Anthony Trifiletti and choreography by Katie Gibson.
