Mon 3/7 @ 10AM-5PM
The weather’s still chilly, but the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is always open — and many of its animals like it brisk! Polar bears don’t care how chilly the water is — they’ve got thick warm coats — and snow leopards and tigers thrive in the cold as well.
Another good reason to go is to see the new baby gorilla, Kayembe, born last October — check him out before he becomes big. Visitors can see him from 11am-3pm every day. During the winter the zoo is open seven days from 10am-5pm. But on Monday, it’s free for residents of Cuyahoga County and Hinckley. Bring ID. Otherwise it’s $14.95 for adults, $10.95 for kids 2-11.
