Tue 3/1-Sun 3/6
Music clubs come & go but the Beachland Ballroom & Tavern has been at the forefront of northeast Ohio’s music scene for an incredible 22 years.
Each March, it celebrates the anniversary of its opening in March 2000, with a weeklong lineup of outstanding talent both local and national.
Come down on Wednesday March 2 for its free Anniversary Taco Bash in the Ballroom. That’ll be followed by two nights of underground metal with South Carolina’s Nile on Thursday March 3 and Sweden’s Dark Tranquillity on Sunday March 6. Both bands pre-date the opening of the Beachland!
March 3 also features (finally) December calendar mainstay Punk Rock Festivus who cancelled due to the Omicron surge, with local bands Obnox, Heart & Lung and Dollar playing in the Tavern. On Friday March 4 and Saturday March 5, Maryland ska/regge/punk group The Bumpin’ Uglies will be shaking things up in the Ballroom. Cleveland band the Tufted Puffins, The Electric Hand and DJ Mr. Fishtruck will be holding forth in the Tavern.
For more information and tickets go to the Beachland’s website. But don’t look for Beachland co-owner Cindy Barber. She’s on a well-deserved cruise vacation!
