Sat 2/5 @ noon-3PM
Yes, everyone is complaining about the cold, but it does bring us one great thing: lots of events featuring ice carving! We’ve recently seen such events at the North Coast Harbor and in Mentor, and now it’s Kent’s turn. Kent’s Standing Rock Cultural Arts and downtown businesses present the 18th annual “Make Mine with Ice” ice carving exhibition.
The event takes place at the Hometown Bank Plaza, right in the heart of downtown Kent at the corner of Water and Main streets. There ice artist Mitch Schrader will be doing a demonstration from noon-3pm. Come down and see what he comes up with. Then duck into one of Kent’s many downtown bars, coffee shops or restaurants for something to warm the throat and belly.
