Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Is Free for County Residents on Mondays

Mon 1/10 @10AM-4PM

Many of the animals at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo thrive in cold weather: snow leopards, tigers, bears, gray wolves, sea lions, red pandas. Others, such as rhinos, giraffes, koalas and elephants, need protection from the cold and snow, although many have indoor enclosures or radiant heat in their outdoor spaces.

In any case, bundle up warm and head down to the zoo on a Monday. The thin winter crowds are likely to be even skimpier, so you’ll have the animals all to yourself. And on Mondays, it’s free for Cuyahoga County and Hinckley Township residents: bring I.D. In addition, for those residents, the Rain Forest (heated!) is just $5.50 admission.
