If you’re a gardener or backyard farmer, you know how important honeybees are to the growth cycle. Maybe you even have a hive or two now that many cities, including Cleveland are allowing them.

If you want to learn more abut bees and how they function — the social hierarchy of their colonies, how they communicate how they survive the cold weather and of course their role in the ecosystem, the Cleveland Metroparks is offering a class in “honey bee basics,” taking place at the Brecksville Reservation. It’s an indoor program and it’s free. Get more information here.
