City Club Forum Looks at Future of Cleveland Neighborhoods

Fri 1/7 @ noon

With a new mayor just sworn in, bringing fresh energy and fresh faces to City Hall for the first time in 16 years, many Cleveland sectors are looking ahead, including neighborhood leaders. It’s the perfect time for the next City Club forum, “Changing of the Guard: A Neighborhood Plan for the Next Era of Cleveland Leadership.”

There are new faces not only at City Hall but in city council and in many of the neighborhood organizations as well, with a new generation stepping up. The organization Cleveland Neighborhood Progress has met the moment by creating a platform of municipal modernization, infrastructure, economic development, and housing, presenting specific ideas that he new mayor and council can act on.

Learn what these ideas are and what some of the neighborhood organizations think at a forum featuring Cleveland Neighborhood Progress CEO/President Tania Menesse, and two neighborhood development groups’ executive directors: representing the east side, Jamar Doyle of the Greater Collinwood development Corp, and from the west side, Rosemary Mudry, of Kamm’s Neighborhood Development in West Park. Ideastream’s Nick Castele moderates.

While the in-person forum is sold out, you can listen to the livestream starting at 12:30pm, and tweet questions to @TheCityClub or text them 330-541.5794.
