Muamin Collective Hosts Annual Christmas Day Show at Grog Shop

Sat 12/25 @ 8:30PM

The Red, Black and Green Christmas night show at the Grog Shop is another local band tradition that’s been going on for years.

It’s hosted/curated by Muamin Collective, founded in the early 2000s by MC Josiah “ZION/j-Quills” Quarles and DJ/producer Aaron “aLive/Steezer Wonder” Snorton and releasing its debut album in 2006. The group acquired positive reputation for its nuanced, progressive, jazz-inflected hip-hop music, backed by a live band that adds depth and sonic variety to their sound. After a hiatus it came back strong in the mid 2010s and released a string of new recordings.

They’ll be joined this year by LMNTL, Downhill Collective, Starks and Opus for a full evening of Christmas day music. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 day of show.
