The last big holiday artist/maker show of the year is at Lakewood’s “Screw Factory,” an industrial building whose top two floors are filled with artist studios and event spaces.
While the building started holding open studio events again a year ago, they’ve been scaled down, with fewer doors open and fewer visiting artists. This weekend, you’ll find door after door open in the long, art-decorated halls and the third-floor Templar Room and second-floor Lake Erie Room packed with guest artists — more than 90 local makers in all. You’ll find tons of fine art pieces — painting, prints, ceramics, photography, wood and glass work, sculpture and more. But you’ll also find items such as jewelry, perfumes, T-shirts, coffees and teas, lamps, apparel and “stuffed hot cocoa bombs.”
While the event and parking are both free, the building is collecting non-perishable food items for the Lakewood Community Center, if you’d like to help. And please wear a mask!

Just found out about the Screw Factory and want to be on the wait list for your Dec event. I have had one of my sculptures temporarily on display at the Cleveland Museum of Art. At the Yankee Peddler Fair and other one day art festivals I have done very well. Looking forward to your reply. Yours, Wm Price 2216 701 0608 prihodoff@aol.com
