The Cleveland Metroparks’ two 700-foot toboggan chutes at Mill Stream Run Reservation — the longest chutes in Ohio — are one of the area’s most distinctive winter attractions. With their 70-foot drop, they reach speeds of up to 50 miles an hour.
They open right after Thanksgiving and run through Sunday March 6, operating in most weather except for extreme conditions (temperatures below zero or over 50, heavy rain) and running for expanded hours during the holidays.
Advance reservations are required, and all riders must be at least 42” tall. The Chalet is again open for refreshment. Go here for updates on hours, weather conditions or changes.
This week, the chutes are open Wednesday December 22, Thursday December 23, and Sunday December 26-Friday December 31, noon-9pm, every day except 12/31 when they’ll close early at 5pm.
