University Circle’s Holiday CircleFest Returns With an Array of Activities

Sun 12/5 @ noon-7PM

One more, just like in The Before Times, Holiday Circlefest will fill Wade Oval and the surrounding museums and institutions with festive activities.

The Rink at Wade Oval reopens Saturday December 4 and will be open for skating Sunday @ noon-7pm; reserve free tickets at universitycircle.org/rink. There’ll be food trucks at Wade Oval @ noon-7pm and an outdoor holiday market @ 1-7pm. Yu can take a horse-drawn carriage ride or take photos of the kids with Santa on RTA’s Holiday Trolley @ 1-7pm, listen to live music @ 1-5pm and watch ice carvers at the top of each hour @ 1-6pm.

Church of the Covenant will be offering free music as well: a Carillon concert at 3pm and a Carol Sing @ 4pm. And at the Cleveland Museum of Art, you can make a free paper lantern in the atrium @ 2-4pm, which reminds us how much we miss the Winter Lights Lantern Festival procession, not part of CircleFest this year.

Other area institutions including the Cleveland Botanical Garden, Cleveland History Center (where Mr. Jingeling will be visiting from 10-11:30am so get down early) and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History will be offering $5 admission.

There’s a lot more too: go to universitycircle/holiday-circlefest for a full list of activities in University Circle.
