Fri 11/12 @ 9PM
Local indie rock trio Napsack, newcomers to the area music scene, will celebrate the release of their debut album, the seven-song Put You First, at the Happy Dog this weekend. They describe their music as “Midwestern garage pop for the whole family.”
They’ve already previewed a couple of the tracks, “Hair” and “Trips We Take,” unveiling their straightforward indie pop, which is exuberant, tuneful, intimate and occasionally reflective (“On and On”), and not all that garage-y. “Jesse” is a standout, a tune whose energy sweeps you into a conversational story that feels as if a friend is talking directly to you. You can listen to Put Your First at napsacktheband.bandcamp.com.
They’ll share the evening with Sure, Machine and Blender. Admission is $8.
