Countryside’s summer markets at Howe Meadow ended last week, and now they’re moving indoors to the Old Trail School in nearby Bath for the winter season. It kicks off this week with 30 or so local farmers, food producer and artists, and a special bonus: a squash tasting, giving shoppers samples of one of the vegetables they’ll be able to buy (and store) throughout most of the winter, one that comes in a profusion of sizes, colors, textures and tastes.
There’ll be markets at Old Trial School on November 13 and 20 before they move to an every-other-week schedule. Masks will be required indoors of all shoppers & they’ll be making sure the space doesn’t get overcrowded.
