In yet another nod to its centennial, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History’s ongoing celebration including the opening this week of a new interactive exhibit titled 100 Years of Discovery: A Museum’s Past, Present & Future. In it visitors can get a good look at the museum’s founding, its evolution over the years, and its plans to make science even more user-friendly in the future.
You’ll meet the leaders who envisioned the museum and learn how they build its collections, exhibits and programs, and how attitudes about and approaches to science changed over the century, as new information was uncovered about the natural world and human origins. They’re also promising “an exciting sneak peek of your transformed museum—coming in 2024.” So if you’ve been noticing the construction around its site at Wade Oval you can learn more about what all that is going to be about.
The exhibit opens Friday November 26, and is included in general admission ($17 for adults, $14 for 3-18, college students with ID and 60+, $1 for four people with Snap EDT). CMNH is open Tuesday-Saturday @ 10am-5pm.
