If you want to catch one of the “dinner and a show” Saturday Sessions at Edwins Too on Shaker Square, you shouldn’t wait to buy your ticket — they’ve been selling out.
The evenings offer a three-course musically themed meal, plus a performance by a local jazz artist, or you can just buy a ticket for the show and buy some drinks at the bar. This week, the performer is guitarist/vocalist Moises Borges, a Brazilian native who has lived in Cleveland for many years but retains his affinity for the sounds of his native country. When he performs, you’ll hear infectious pieces by some of Brazil’s legendary samba and bossa nova composers, as well as other distinctively Brazilian beats. Tickets are $65 for dinner and the show; $15 for just the show.
If you want to plan ahead, they’ll be featuring vocalist Evelyn Wright on November 20, Rolando Pizana and Fiesta Latina on November 27, the Dan Wilson Trio on December 4, the Sammy DeLeon sextet on Friday December 11, Hubbs Groove on Friday December 17 and the Ernie Krivda Quintet on Saturday December 18.
