Sat 10/9 @ 9:30AM-1PM
Berea ARF — Animal Rescue Friends — supports the work of the nonprofit Berea Animal Rescue with fundraisers and special events. That includes its upcoming 12th annual Monster Mutt Dash and Howl-O-Ween AfterParty, returning after a pandemic break, where you and your dog can pay it forward to animals who don’t have loving homes yet.
Taking place at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea, the event kicks off with a pet-friendly 5K run and a one-mile Fun Walk for you and your pet (i.e. dogs — if you bring your cat, you aren’t running anywhere unless you carry him). After the run/walk, which steps off at 9:30am, you can join the party whether you walk/run or not from 10am-1pm, hosted by emcee Ray Carr. It features a pet costume runway parade and contest (your cat is still saying “Go without me”), dog games such as musical hoops and bobbing for weiners, a DJ spinning tunes, vendors, raffles, face painting and a balloon artist to entertain the kids, a beer garden for the adults, photos with your pet, and much more.
The AfterParty is free and open to all. You can register for the run/walk online or on the day of the race starting at 8am.
