Tuesday Musical Al Fresco Series Presents Brazilian Guitarist Moises Borges

Sun 9/12 @ 1 & 3PM

Before the weather gets crummy, Akron’s Tuesday Musical organization is presenting a series of outdoor concerts called “Music al fresco: Passport 2021,” featuring area ensembles who perform different styles of folk/vernacular music in two one-hour Sunday afternoon concerts on the lawn of West Akron’s historic Barder House.

The second concert of the series, taking place Sunday September 12, features Cleveland-based Brazilian guitarist/vocalist Moises Borges and his quartet playing Borges’ own tunes as well as those by Brazilian masters of the samba and bossa nova such as Jobim, Gilberto and Bosco.

Concertgoers should bring a lawn chair or blanket, and are welcome to bring a picnic as well. Tickets are $20.

The series concludes on September 26, music will be provided by Akron “Partygras” band Mo’Mojo, known for their exuberant zydeco-based lend of rock, reggae, R&B, Latin and Cajun sounds.
