Fri 8/13 @ 5-10PM
If you haven’t been to Tremont lately — especially if you haven’t visited since pre-pandemic times — now’s the time to head over there for the newly revived Walkabout Tremont on the second Friday of every month.
It’s not quite like the old Tremont Art Walks. There’s less art and more eating and drinking, street entertainment and street vendors. You might find a singer/songwriter on a corner, or some dancers on church steps, or someone like Dr. U.R. Awesome blowing giant bubbles. There are shops such as Banyan Tree and Visible Voice Books, bars and lounges to grab a drink with friends, and yes, galleries as well: including the new Kaiser Gallery, the venerable scruffy Doubting Thomas, Paul Duda Photography, the second-floor Studio 818, and Rob Hartshorn’s new studio on West 11th Street next to Civilization Coffee House.
You can also stroll over to Lincoln Park at 7pm where Verb Ballets will be performing for free as part pf Arts in August Tremont.
