The FireFish Festival has returned to downtown Lorain, but instead of a one-weekend blowout in late September, it’s been hosting a string one-day/evening events, which will culminate with the James Levin FireFish Festival Finale — the spectacular burning of the giant fish — on Saturday September 18.
This week, the event is the Fire It Up! Broadway Block Party & Art Walk. It will feature fire performances by members of the Ohio Burn Unit team, dance performances by North Point Ballet, and art and other activities hosted by FireFish Arts Community Artist Board Members which will augment the monthly Main Street First Friday Block Party at the The Bank on Broadway. It’s all free.
