It’s hard to find anyone who doesn’t like pizza, and without it, college kids probably wouldn’t survive. There’s a kind to please every taste: vegetarian and meat eaters, thin-crust and deep-dish partisans, and even gluten-free crusts are getting easier to find.
The Akron Pizza Fest lays them all out for three days this weekend at Lock 3 downtown. Not only will their be multiple pizza vendors from all over the Akron-Canton area, with dozens of topping combos available, but other choices will be available for those who don’t like pizza (gasp!). And there’s an air-conditioned dining hall to eat in.
There’ll be a lot of other amusements to make this event a day out for the family. A Kids Land will feature inflatables, there’s a beer garden for the adults and free cornhole for everyone, along with Putt-Putt, Giant Jenga and Beer Pong. Live music will be happening too.
Admission is $5 for adults (BOGO on Sunday); $2 13-17 and college students with ID, free for 12 and under.
