Stan Hywet’s Father’s Day Car Show Returns After a Year Off

Sun 6/20 @ 9AM-3PM

Another beloved event returns after a pandemic hiatus: Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens’ annual Father’s Day Classic, Antique and Collector Car Show, now in its 63rd year.

Presented with the Ohio Region Classic Car Club of America (ORCCCA), it features cars made from 1915-1996 (1996? Really? I know people still driving their 1996 beaters), lovingly preserved by auto aficionados. In addition, Q.S. Jazz will be playing music from 1920s to set the flavor from 11am-2pm on the Courtyard Stage. Wonder if they know Alanis Morissette’s “You Oughta Know,” the biggest hit of 1996?

Admission to the Father’s Day Car Show also includes the self-guided tour of the Manor House and the gardens, long with Stan Hywet’s other attractions, which will all be open. Concessions will be available as well.

Tickets, $14 for adults, $6 for ages 6-17, are pre-sale only. There’s no onsite parking; free parking will be available at Todaro’s Party Center (1820 Akron Peninsula Road) and Firestone Community Learning Center (470 Castle Boulevard) with free shuttles running all day. Masks aren’t required at Stan Hywet if you are vaccinated, but thy are required on the shuttle.
